I've absolutely loved No Regrets for so many years now, and extremely pleased to have eventually picked up on you again. I now have some of your newer stuff, and love the videos on YouTube. What about coming to the UK, we've some great venues here in the North East of England, you'd love it here.

We enjoyed your appearance in Utica, NY last fall. You did "ol Blevins" and refered to The Austin Lounge Lizards. We are in Texas and got to see them. They are a hoot, but you're better. Thanks again for making "Trolling" It helps understand regional differences - no Hav-A -Hart for buffalo! You are too cool.

Heard this song(Remember) for the first time today and my wife said it was me to a tee. I had to agree. We've sent it to our youngest son (who has the same problem). Very humorous.

Tom, you're not only one of my favorite performers in any medium, but Trolling for Owls is one of the things I most like to give to others. I hope the CDs are available again soon! Lee (hooked by your June '06 concert at Sanders Theatre)

Classic Rush last night at Phillys' World Cafe Live with New Rush in the mix.Tom was in great voice, good humour, socialized with the audience & we loved it! No one had the "Urge for Going" except to see Tom again soon! Thanks!

Lafayette Hill, PA - December 7, 2009
Tom delighted the World Cafe Live audience last night by presenting a special concert feature: He performed two classic songs {ie., "Ladies Love Outlaws" and "These Days"} on his Guild 12-string guitar. The instrument rekindled the rich melodies with a warm, robust tone. The 12-string made a delightful reappearance after such an extended absence!

I, too, was at the Utica concert. I've seen Bromberg and Douglas and I'd put your guitar mastery above them. I'm glad I was able to see you in person. Having your CDs will keep that evening alive. Panama Limited & Galveston Flood were outstanding, Thank you & God Bless "Trolling" is great

Thank you for such a great evening at your Munson Williams performance. It was terrific having the chance to chat with you, the music was terrific and brought back a lot of memories of the old Hootenanies around Boston. All the best.

Clinton, NY - November 16, 2009
I was also at the Munson-Williams show of 11-14 and enjoyed the story-telling, the superb musicianship and the wonderfully evocative vocals. It not only stoked great memories but provided an encouraging reminder that the singer-songwriter tradition continues. Thanks Tom!

Utica, NY - Nopvember 15, 2009
I just returned from your performance at Munson-Williams in Utica and wanted you to know that it was one terrific evening. Great music, great tales, all in a fairly intimate venue. My lady, at the time, and I were regulars at Club 47 during the 60's. Tonight's show brought back some of my fondest memories of that era. It was a special time and Club 47 was a special place.

It's great to see you are still recording. I have some catching up to do since Circle Game and Shadow Dream Song. Thanks for the beautiful music and soulful singing. It's just great to have found this site and hear more songs are out! Keep rocking.

I was sent a link to You Tube and the Remember Song. I don't know when I've laughed that much. Whenever I'm having a down day, I click on the link and listen to it again. It is priceless and oh so my generation. Thank you for your sense of humour and a great, fun song.

Saw you play in Norwich, VT over the weekend. Wonderful show. The ability to stand on stage with just a guitar and a voice is something that few modern performers can do. It was a beautiful show. Thank you for sharing your songs with us.

My brother and I have enjoyed your music together since we were boys and were fortunate enough to see you near Rochester in the spring of 2007. We made the journey together with our third brother from Nova Scotia. Along the way we recalled our youth and how we enjoyed your music together as a family. The concert was amazing and it was our first trip together in years. Unfortunately my brother passed away unexpectedly about a week after the show. I have comfort that we will always have that special trip and memory. I will be attending your concert at Hugh's Room in Toronto on November 12th with my brother's wife and friends (all enjoy your music). I know that it is a lot to ask but could you remember my brother (Robert/Bob Fumerton) and play one his favorites for everyone's enjoyment. He loved "Sugar Babe" and your rendition of "You Know Love has Made a Fool of You". I know it is a lot to ask and I understand if it is not possible but we certainly would appreciate it to honour his memory and love of your music.

As I told you Friday night in Minneapolis your music has been a part of me since 1970 and it will always be a part of me. I will always treasure the memory of your show. Thanks, and please come to Minneapolis again, soon.

Minneapolis, MN - October 13, 2009
Saw you last night at the Old Town School of Folk Music -- great show. Last saw you 35 years ago when your last album was released. Can't wait another 35 years (we're both too old), so how about some more new music soon. Thanks for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Thanks from Minneapolis. Your concert at the Cedar was excellent and particularly moving was "Child's Song". I last saw Tom at the Guthrie in Mpls about 30 some years ago but frequently play the records. Since neither Tom nor I are likely to have 30 more years in us, I will clearly have to fly to New England to see some concerts. Thanks Tom for an excellent show.

Many Moons ago I had some songs which I thought were sung by Tom Rush they were Starlight, Sweet Baby James, Wrong End of the Rainbow and Merry Month of. The version of Sweet Baby James is beautiful much softer more mellow than when James Taylor sings it. I would love to get ahold of these songs again but can't find them anywhere. Can anyone help? Thanks

Richmond, NSW Australia - August 31, 2009
[NOTE: These songs were on the album "Wrong End of The Rainbow" which is out of print, although it is sold as part of a 2-album import set at Amazon.com. It may also be downloaded from iTunes.]
Well it must be something in the way things move! The preceding comment is nearly exactly what happened to me today. The difference is "Circle Game" popped up in my random rotation on my computer. Out of 20,000 songs (what a great world we live in, where we can carry 20,000 songs around in less than five pounds of technology!) "Circle Game" arose and reminded me of how great music can be.
This album was one of my first purchased in the back in 1968. It was the third CD I acquired when I made the shift (Beatles and Enya were the first two) to digital. It is the one of the first things that I ripped to my computer when I learned that I could do such a thing.
Arriving here from Wikipedia I am delighted to learn that Tom is still performing. It is the highlight of my day. Thank you Tom for all the years of excellence.

I purchased "the Circle Game" CD about a year ago; it's one I remember from my younger years, but my sister ended up with the "album"! I listen to the music almost every nite and know the words to most all of those fabulous songs! It would be great if you would travel to Ohio (particularly the Columbus area) for a concert -- are there any plans in the future?? Keep up the great work -- you are definitely one of the best from the "60's"!
Carol Dailey
Columbus, OH - August 27, 2009
Woke up this morning with The Circle Game in my head and suddenly realized this was 2009 and Tom Rush might be found in something called Wikipedia and might have a website and by God he was and he does and I ate, slept, and breathed that voice while I tried to learn to play guitar and grow up back then. I didn't do so well at either, but now that I've gotten hurled back to the sixties by that sound, I'm trying to figure out what I'll do there. Maybe take a little walk ...

Remember seeing you in the coffee houses in Boston in the 60's. You have always been amazing. Miss you and really miss living in New England! Thank you for the music that filled my life.

We saw you @ Jonathan's last night [7/15]. Such a joy to see you again. Your show was fantastic... moving... funny. New CD is incredibly good - you are rightfully proud of it. Our very first date as a couple was your performance @ King's Rook in Ipswich... coming full circle last night was quite an experience. Thanks for being there Tom and we'll see you again.

I was lucky enough to attend your very private concert under the big top tent at Prescott Park with my daughter and a longtime friend. What could have been a major disappointment because of the rain turned out to be a memory that will last a lifetime. My husband and I have been huge fans of yours since the late sixties. We used to see you every chance that we could in Cambridge or on any college campus in the area. Thanks for appreciating your loyal fans. By the way, my husband loved his new t-shirt and CD. Great new music to add to our Tom Rush collection. Have a great summer and maybe we will see you at Jonathan's. What we know for sure is that you are AWESOME. Thank you.

What a great time last night at Prescott Park! A little rain doesn't deter die hard fans. Your impromptu "couple of songs" under the tent was fantastic! Thanks! Looking forward to a return visit when the sun is shining.

Unlike a lot of your fans 6 months ago I had no idea who Tom Rush was but someone sent me the "Forgot" song in and I became curious and checked out your home page and listened to some of your music. And Zap, I was captured and fell totlly in love with your music. I now have bought 5 of the CD's am going to get some more next payday. I listen to them at home, work, and on the road. I grew up listening to country (classic)Grand Ole Opery music and have had a love of traditional songs. I was very happy to see that you are going to be in Minneapolis in October, it is 380 miles from here but I am already checking out the tickets so I can be there. Just keep on doing what your doing. See you in October. By the way my 16 year old grandson really likes your music wants to see you too.

I've been a fan of yours since the sixties when I first saw you live in London at Les Cousins. I have all your albums and I want to congratulate you on your latest: really one of your best. Hope you come to Belgium once more in the near future, if not: record a live DVD with your recent songs. Keep up the good work.

Hi Tom, I feel like a 63 year old groupy! Loved your wife's book and the concerts on the farm in NH, and the Opera House in Maine. Look forward to seeing you in Portsmouth in a few days. If it doesn't rain like it has been the last few week we will know she missed a good chance!

I am so glad I came across your guestbook. I really do not know how many Moroccans know you but am I lucky I heard you on a new york radio station in the eighties and from that moment my fondest wish was to get your circle game album until I bought it in a small record store in Halifax,Canada and since that day this album has been my desert island most cherished item. It is true that Joni Mitchell's lyrics are a big asset for the album but the distingtive singing skill and warmth of Tom Rush have given those lyrics yet another dimension for which I am grateful because it is pure delight and enjoyment. Thank you Tom, it may be only a song but it does a lot to the heart and the mind in a very an assuming way.

I love the new album!! Some of your best work ever. I have been a fan since the Club 47 days growing up in Boston. Your beautiful music has been a constant accompaniment to my life and I have now seen you in concert on both coasts and in the middle near Chicago. Only wish it could have been even more frequent since your sense of humor is as great a gift as your wonderful music and you really need to see you live (except for Trolling for Owls ) for that. Thank you so much for the joy you've given me. Live long and prosper! I'm waiting for the next album.

Having entered my 6th inning of this game of life and now having "What I Know" as yet another perfect soundtrack from the musical genius, warmly embracing voice, sweet humor, honest emotions and poetry perfections of Tom Rush is a gift so worth waiting for. Peace be upon you and those you touch. Thank you so very much.

I saw you at the Napa Valley Opera House tonight...THANK YOU! I feel that all is well in the world if Tome Rush is still singing. I once moved to Kingsville, Tx. and felt I was so far away from my culture and was feeling so lonely...then I saw you on TV (1980} and it cheered me up. I go to hear you whenever you are near. Georgetown, Carlisle, Kennedy Center, Birchmere in Alexandria almost every year,Ramshead in Baltimore, Berkeley and now Napa. Still the same Tom! Keep singing...

Dear Tom, I am looking forward to seeing you in concert at the Emerson Umbrella on May 30. I have been a fan since the 60's, when "Urge for Going" was my personal anthem. This concert is special to me for 2 reasons. It's the night before my birthday, and I have a studio at the Umbrella. So you are singing in my "home". I want to thank you for coming, and supporting the Nature Connection and to invite you to stop by my pottery studio in the building after the concert. You are one of my favorite musicians, and one of the most long-lived. Keep on making the music we love!

I was in Concord, NH on April 22,2009, and after the show I shook your hand and said,"Good to see ya again Tom". You said, "Good to see you and thanks fo comin' man." What you did not know, and would have no reason to know, is that I was there in the beginning with you and that night my 10 year old little girl, Rose, said "Daddy do you think Tom remembers you?" I said to her, "Rose its not if Tom remembers me or not but that he carries the love and music in his heart and this is why I wanted you to see him here and now". Tom and I both know that this is what life is all about and his music has always reflected those thoughts. See ya later Tom and thanks for a lifetime of heart felt music.

Thanks for a great concert last evening in Concord, NH. My wife and I have been fans since before our marriage way back in 1963 when we caught your act at the Second Fret in Philadelphia. You were the opening act for Mike Seeger. Before the show I wondered "who is Tom Rush." Imagine that.

Hearing you on the Prairie Home Companion was one of the best things that has happened to me in years. It was like coming home to hear your voice and guitar, a little older maybe, but still as warm and comfortable as a best pair of boots. Are you still playing that old Harmony Sovereign? I doubt you'll ever come out to play in Victoria or Vancouver, but I'd be first in line and carrying my treasured vinyl copy of the Elektra recording EKS-7288 better known as Tom Rush and hoping for an autograph just like the 14 year old I was when I bought it in Montreal at a huge record sale downtown where they were getting rid of all their folk vinyl. I think it was your record that found me and for better or worse gave me a direction which I've followed into my now early 50's. It has been an amazing trip. Thank you for your gifts of sincerity and honest acoustic music. Good health and be well. Yours sincerely,

I bought Circle Game in 1968, I was 17, I have changed but Tom Rush hasn't.......this is a brillianr new album. Next year I retire with two ambitions - one is to see Tom Rush live - keep playing at least until september 2010!

I saw you in Twin Falls, ID a couple of weeks ago and was so impressed with you and your music. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed your show. My only regret was that my youngest son was not with us. He too learned to play the guitar on his own with only 3 lessons and I know he would have been blown away by your playing. He lives and works in Las Vegas and when I got home from your concert I immediately called him and told him to get on your website. Congratulations on a wonderful life of pleasing music. p.s. love your new album

A group of us saw your performance at the Lyric Theatre this past January. Music and lyrics, as always, authentic, meaningful and pure. Did a lot of reflecting that evening. Your performance was still with us days later. Love your new CD, What I Know. We can't wait to see you on Long Island at the end of this month.

Tom, you will never know... the times we turned to your tunes to get us through the nights when all else seemed to mean nothing. Tom's guitar and songs were 'grounding'. Brought us back to home. Back to Boston, back to Cambridge, back to family, back to friends, back to what counts. Thanks, Tom, for keeping us in touch with what counts.

Susan, the song you're thinking of is "Gnostic Serenade" by William Hawkins. It's on Tom's "Wrong End of the Rainbow" album. Your memory isn't shot. You were pretty accurate on the words.

I'm a 60s survivor in his own 60s. I've been a fan of yours since well before you turned us all on to James Taylor and Joni Mitchell. I just wanted to tell you my copy of WHAT I KNOW arrived in the mail just as my wife went in for what was supposed to be simple gall bladder removal, and turned into nearly 10 hours on the operating table. Your new CD has been the only new music either of us has cared to listen to since she got home, a warm bath of healing energy and calm sanity in a world suddenly gone crazy. Thank you, more than I can say. What you do mattters, more than you know. Please live forever.

I have a song that's been stuck in my head for years. "And finally/we are as the times are/we meet to part/and go our separate ways/And I am trapped/ on this crazy star/I've been a prison all my days." Isn't that a Tom Rush song? Or did I do too much you-know in the .) '70s?
(Webmaster note: Tom sings it on the "Wrong End of the Rainbow" album. It was written by Bill Hawkins )

I grew up in the 60's. When most kids were into the Beatles I was into folk music. I liked the fact that Tom Rush played and sang the real folk music, like Woody Guthrie et. al. and the real blues, from people like Robert Johnson. I thought he did the songs better than the original artists. I think I own the complete discography from "Live At The Unicorn" on, plus his video and songbook. I just ordered the newest CD. I used to see Tom at the Chessmate in Detroit. Wish there places like that still around. Thanks for the new album Tom. I can't wait to add it to my collection.

Just unwrapped and listened to the new CD...and it took me back to the '60s when I saw/heard you at La Cave in Cleveland. I and my associates wore out those early albums listening to "Drivin' Wheel" and "These Days". Good to have you back, so to speak.

When are you coming to England again. I first saw you in 1962/3 in "The Jug of Punch" folk club in Birmingham England and it was the first time I had seen anybody play "Bottleneck. That night, you played "Moles Moan" I just had to buy your L.P. and have been a fan ever since. I spent months and months picking the needle off the vinyl and dropping it back down trying to work out how to play it in the tuning you played. I eventually finished up in an open D. I had no idea what an open tuning was at that time. I managed to play it in open D and it became my party piece and still is after all these years. Let me know if and when you might be comming over again.

Tom, truly enjoyed meeting you and hearing you live for the first time. I have listened to your records since 1972, but in Madisonville, KY at the Arts Center this made my day of actually seeing and hearing that wonderful voice and songs. My husband and daughter were thrilled too. Come back to Kentucky anytime, we love you here. Thanks for your autographs on all my LPs and cd.

I have been enjoying your music since I was 16...now 54. I have many of your older "albums" and pictures of you in the early '70's performing in Lenox MA! Can't get enough:) I thoroughly enjoy your performances increasingly at each event...Keep up the great work!

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on an advance copy of the new CD (Tom's always been a favorite),and start to finish it's like getting a REALLY warm and welcome hug from a true friend you might have never expected to see again. Absolutely first rate in every respect, and I dare to say that Tom sounds as good as ever..maybe even better!Congratulations to all involved and the best of luck with this fine work! Tom Rush sang 'Happy Birthday' to me!" That's all I've been able to think about since we saw you Friday night at TCAN in Natick . . . so glad we hung around after the show. Hope you don't mind, my daughter captured my favorite ("Child's Song") on her cell phone and gave it to me as her present! You are my special gift this year! I'm listening to What You Know right now, and you are a genius!

A big fan since seeing you perform at (believe it or not) Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute about 35+ years ago. There was a never-to-be-forgotten version of "Rockport Sunday," with just you on stage and all the stage and house lights dark. Any chance of an appearance in the Chicago area? I have a vinyl album of "Classic Rush" that would love to be autographed. Thanks!

My friends and I have been your fans since you introduced Joni Mitchell on the stage in, I think Stoneham, MA-in our early years! Most recently we attended your concert in Newburyport. One of your most avid fans, my friend, passed away of cancer shortly after your concert. Her favorite song was "No Regrets." We plan to see you at the Me and Thee Coffee House in Marblehead in April. "Laura" will be with us in spirit. Please sing her favorite song.

Just Received your new CD that I ordered at the Dec. Philly show. (I guess being a couple miles from Appleseed recordings is a benefit.) Great selection of songs. A group of 20 of us saw that show, and we should get at least 30+ for this years show. See you in December.

As a teenager who was forbidden by her very strict ballet teacher to be out on the slopes with everyone else during the winter, I sulked in my room with Tom. I remember thinking, "Who IS this guy?" when sang "Urge For Going". I could hear he understood, not in a superficial way, what winter was really all about. Little did I know he lived just down the road a piece. I spent my time in my room thereafter not sulking but revelling in his musicality and impeccable taste. He's always been a class of his own.

Thanks for the terrific show at the Newberry (SC) Opera House on 01/13/09. The last time I saw you was a few years back at the Newport (NH) Opera House. Hmmmm... opera houses in towns that start with "New"". See you at the Met in a few years?

I have been a fan since I heard the white album in '66. Tom makes me want to sing and play, which I'm still doing after 51 years. Still do Panama Limited and Turn Your Money Green. What a great singer and stylist. My Man Tom Rush!

My husband said your songs were his greatest source of comfort 25 years ago when his mother, father and little sister moved from Missouri to Arizona and he stayed behind by himself. He said you got him through a very difficult time when he was 20 years old and alone.

A very entertaining evening at Eagle Hill. It is not often that a performer leaves a G string hanging during a tune. In the true spirit of the coffeehouse troubadour Tom plays through and entertains all the way. Thanx

What a great concert you put on at the new Eagle Hill Cultural Center last night. I thought having Joe, Dean and Eric there also made for a very lively c festive evening. I was also encouraged to see so many young people attending too. Although their numbers were well short of your 3 million hits on YouTube, the contingency was well represented!! I look forward to your attendance every year at the new Cultural Center at Eagle Hill School. It is such a great venue for a great raconteur

Tom gave the Philadelphia audience a wonderful show at The World Cafe Live on Friday night, December 5th, with the help of his talented buddy, Joe, on keyboards and sax. As always, great guitar, voice and storytelling that never fail to make me laugh way too loud.....:-) We should all be aging as gracefully as this man!

Just a short note regarding this past wednesday night at Passim's in Harvard Sq. For me it was like going to Mecca, like seeing Ravi Shankar at the Taj Mahal or the Beatles @ Shea. We met our friends Tim & Penny from Arlington and squeezed into table#3 with a couple of minutes to spare. Even though we've seen Tom play many times in the last 40 years, this night was extra magical and I sensed Tom felt it too. I was hoping he would come back for an encore and do ""All a man can do", the 50/50 song. Maybe next time. It was a most enjoyable evening. Looking foward to the new album! Thanks again Tom

Well, what can I say! Another outstanding show last night at World Cafe Live. It was a very special night, since my girlfriend and I exchange simple gifts for "Christmas, and your annual trip to Philly seems to have become my gift to her. So I thank you for helping me give her such a wonderful gift, one that I could share, along eith 300 other fortunate souls. I can't wait until I receive your new CD, and I am looking forward to next year already.

comments: Was at the memorable show in the Middletown mansion yesterday---last time I was in the same room with TR it was 1968 and the "mansion" was a few steps down in the 47. So good, so sad, so sweet to be alive, to get back there and feel the years and the sounds flowing backward and forward over me.

Hi Tom, I'm a new fan in the last few months, I thank you for the great CD Trolling For Owls. I love all the songs and have it in my car along with several other good albums. I have you on random and it's really funny because sometimes you sing and others you just talk. I don't want keep you on random and no one gets in the car without hearing you. So I guess I will have to order more and different albums. the first time I heard you was over the U-Tube singing "Remember" it really is the story of my life at this point. By the way I'm a singer also, standards and country. Keep up the great intertaining you sure have some long time fans. Sally in CA

Finally, after 40 years of listening and playing his music, my wife, Carolyn, and I met Tom last night in Kirkland, WA. He gave a great concert, and we were both impressed regarding his generosity after the show, sticking around to meet some of his fans. Yes, we were all a bunch of old hippies, now lawyers, bankers, and accountants, but in our hearts, last night was 1969, and we were transformed to a simpler time in most of our lives when the world was full of promise and enlightenment. Thanks Tom, and please come back!

I have been a huge fan since high school in the 70's.. we had the pleasure of seeing you two years ago at Jonathan's in Ogunquit and when I saw that you were coming back this year, we had to get tickets. I think the couple sitting with us at our table was wondering about me, because when you sang "Urge for Going," I burst into tears. Thanks for all the great memories, please keep singing your songs and I hope that you do move back to NH when your time is right. My husband loves the way you tell your stories. Such a talent to have humor..

You sang at a small club at Syracuse University in '68 or '69 and there I heard all your old classics for the first time...the Circle Game, Child's Song and all the old giants. These memories are the greatest thing about my youth. I never thanked you then, so I'm thanking you now and so glad to be able to do it!

What a wonderful surprise my husband and I got on Friday, the 12th. On our first vacation in years we happened to have reservations in Ogunquit and caught your performance at Jonathan's. What a wonderful time we had, what a wonderful show you gave us. We used to catch your performances at The Last Chance Saloon in Poughkeepsie, NY and other local venues, but hadn't seen you in years. On our way to Maine on Wed. we talked about you when we saw the signs for Merrimack! Thanks for a wonderful night!

Well, I turned on WFUV when I came home and there was the Galveston song. Only yesterday I was telling my 26 year old BOSS about what happened in Galveston. I have been listening to you since I was 13 years old, first listening to the Jefferson Kay folk program on Sunday nights in Boston.

Regarding the inquiry below, the song is entitled "Starlight" (Tom Rush composition) from the Wrong End of the Rainbow album. I first heard Tom Rush perform that song live on the David Frost tv show back in either Dec, 1970 or Jan., 1971.

""Have enjoyed your music since 1974. I find myself listening to "No Regrets" form Humphrey's on youtube almost daily. Beautiful job. I have searched your song book but can not find the song that contains the lyrics "like star light on dark water your loves brought life to me". On a recent hiking trip to New Mexico, July 2008, I was at the lake that this song could have been written about. Looking at the still lake and it was alive and twinkling with starlight. It reminded me of that song. Hope you can help. Best wishes and be well from a long time fan.

Hi Tom I randomly visited your site today as I have been familiar with your music since 1970 or so. Currently my wife and I are contemplating a move from here after 20 years, my children are all grown... I listened to Childs Song and found myself crying. It felt real and it felt allright. Thanks.

I first saw you at Keene State College sometime in the sixties and as I went to take your picture you stuck your tongue out at me. I follwed you for years to have you autograph it but finally sent it too your home. Will be catching you Sept. 14th at Newburyport Firehouse from the 3rd row. Great job never stop. I have been a fan of yours since I first saw you play at Club 47 in Cambridge (my home town) in the 60's. Your concert on the 2nd was the fourth time I have watched you live, and I was absolutely floored. You have to be at least 10 years older than me (I graduated high school in 1973), but It was the absolute best I have ever seen you play. And you even played my favorite song of yours, "Urge for Going". Much as I love Joni, you do it better. For one night I was 20 again with my whole life waiting for me. And all I can do is send you some zeros and ones. Thank you, Tom.

We e-mailed about three years ago. I had reviewed your show for the Albany Times Union. Anyway, "The Dreamer" came on a satellite radio channel as I was driving the other day. And the beauty of it made me almost pull over. That happens every once in a while, discovering music I always "knew," but not really. So, I've been in a Tom Rush phase again. Even took out my D-41 (very dusty). - Thanks for moving the blood in my veins -

Hey Tom, Just wanted to thank you for coming up to Edmonton to perform in the International Leonard Cohen Festival 2008. We really enjoyed your songs and especially your story-telling between songs. Love your sense of humor! I liked your analogy of the inspiration for a song being like the phone ringing, and sometimes you don't feel like answering. I'm glad that you've answered it as often as you have. It was an honor to meet you and a joy to hear you sing. Take good care, and thanks again.

Town Hall New York City way back in the sixties. Remember those concerts so well with whats his name (Harvey?) backing you up with a little plugged in acoustic. I also bought the DVD and having a great time trying to play some of your favorite tunes. Wow thanks very very much for sharing some of those secrets that make you so unique.

Thanks for the link to the article in The Harvard Magazine. Well written and full of memories that took me back to my old days in the 60's of running the Brickskeller in Washington, DC where we were sometimes lucky enough to have the upstairs nightclub filled to capacity to hear a young New Englander who could cook up sounds of our Folk Revolution that keep up with the best of that period, including the Mugwumps (Mama's & Papas), PP&M, Jose Feliciano and many others.

Really loved your show at the Sierra Nevada Big Room last night. I have to admit, sadly, I had never heard you before. I feel I have missed out on many years of good music. I laughed, I cried and I enjoyed the music while sipping a good beer. Thanks! I hope you return to our sweet little town of Chico and sing us some more tunes.

I have to honestly say that Tom is one awesome human being. He totally made my mum's day not too long ago. She was feeling really depressed & he sent her something that I don't think most singers or anyone else would have. Thanks a million Tom. God is going to bless you someday.

I first heard you at Club 47 in Cambridge in 1967, (bought the album), then at Paul's Mall, Jordan Hall, the Armory, a bygone bar in Scituate, and most recently, Moses Lake, WA. (and bought all the other albums) I, too, grew up in 18th century England, lived in New Hampshire and Cambridge, and finally moved west, on purpose. Despite those, and many other, parallels, we exhibit two glaring differences: you play the guitar well, and I cannot; you can sing exceptionally well, and, again, I cannot. Thank you so very much for filling those two missing pieces for me. It has made a rich difference in my life. See you in Friday Harbor come October.

I've been a big fan of Tom Rush for decades. I saw him several times in and around Providence and Boston and I think at the barn (Tanglewood) in the 70s. In addition to a great voice and lyrics, I really appreciate the guitar work. Also a summer resident on the family farm in Hillsborough we'd occaissionaly sight Tom out and about town. Thanks for the wonderful music.

ALWAYS, great to hear you. In a time when there are so few musicians out there, your music gives us hope for the future. Your great acoustic playing, coupled with your voice & funny stories is the best. Thank goodness for web sites, to keep us informed of your concerts. I was introduced to "Classic Rush" in the early 70s, and as a "hack" acoustic player I fell in love with the music right away. Saw you on New Years eve in Boston a few years later. Been to 4 more shows over the years. Always a great time. See you at Jonathan's in the fall and if I'm lucky Newburyport too. Thanks for all the great music Tom.

My first experience was in early 65 I think. A friend and I would listen to late nite AM radio "skip" from Boston. I believe it was Juicy Bruce Bradley on WBZ. He loved to open his airtime (if memory serves) with one of your songs and seems he always wrapped up with Urge for Goin. At the age of 16 that set a hook in me that has lasted a long time. Keep up the good works.

I first heard Urge for Going at about 2:30 in the morning on a December night in 64 or 65. I was cramming for midterms in college and my brain was fried, and this wonderful song came on the radio [ the local dj in Boston had a thing for Tom Rush and he played the long version ]. As I listened, my mind set aside all the trash and I simply soaked in the music and the lyrics. I can still hear them 40+ years later when I close my eyes and "take out the trash" in my mind. There is still a purity to the "package" that I hope to never lose. Thanks...

Loved your show @Ram's Head Annapolis, April 08. Also saw you with Judy Collins somewhere in N.J. a few years back. Just keeps gettin' better. So good of you to do so much to keep this spirit of folk music alive. Never stop performing! And maybe hook up with John Sebastian again. What an album you did with him on harmonica!

I used to listen to the Circle Game album every night in my Junior year of college. Saw you with a hot band (bass, telecaster, drums, acoustic guitar)at the Main Point in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Was inspired by the guitar playing and singing. Like you I'm still rockin', playing fiddle in a celtic band. When I have a quiet moment with my guitar I sometimes go back to, "No Regrets" and "Urge for Going". Loved your version of "Who Do You Love?" (Mama). Can I have your guitar?

We really enjoyed your show in Traverse City. First hearing you on 8 track (about 1972, I think), I was really impressed watching you play (and sing) Panama Limited. All of those harmonics you put in; your Merle Travis + style; authentic blues - it was truly awsome and inspirational. Looking forward to the jam here at the house Thursday, with Ray, Sally and the gang. Thanks for a wonderful perfomance, Tom. We all enjoyed it tremendously!
